Introductory camp

FOR ENTERING 5TH - 8TH GRADERS

The Introductory camp provides adventurers the opportunity to experience and play through a complete Dungeons and Dragons adventure.  Campers begin with creating a character for their adventure. They are then divided into adventuring parties and run through a complete adventure over the course of the week led by an expert level Dungeon Master.  All adventures emphasize team-building activities, social skills practice and collaborative problem-solving scenarios.  No previous experience is necessary for participation in the Introductory camp but experienced D&D players are also welcome.  Campers are divided into similar aged groups. Campers can request to be grouped with their friends (each camper must list the friend’s name on their registration form), but all kids in the group tend to bond quickly through the game.

Camps are Monday thru Friday, 9 am - 4 pm.

Introduction to Dungeon Mastering:

coming in summer 2020

Ready to take on the role of a Dungeon Master but don’t know how?  Our Introduction to Dungeon Master class will teach kids how to run an adventure, how to build their own adventure, and perhaps even a Dungeon Master-in-training opportunity for campers interested in running adventures at camp next year.

Creative writing and fantasy fiction:

coming in 2020

In this camp we move from solely a focus on Dungeons & Dragons and explore creative writing and fantasy fiction writing. The camp will provide participants the opportunity to create their own fantasy fiction world. Using inspiration from authors like JRR Tolkien, Stephan R. Donaldson, Ursala K. LeGuin and others, campers will spend the week building their own fantasy world in which to write their own adventures.
